a politician that tells the TRUTH? willl wonders never cease.
i usually despise touching on politics as a discussion topic unless it's about one of a select few topics [stem cells/ science]. my dim view on the whole system boils down to choosing the lesser of two evils when it comes to election time, and things are argued for far too long before action is taken..and *then* it's usually the wrong decision anyway.
but i digress- this barack guy; it seems like we have an actual 'good guy' in our midsts. WILDLY popular to an almost absurd level, it's really no surprise people are clamoring for him to run for president in '08. bravo to him for considering it in the first place.. but come on. he's a junior senator with about 2 years under his belt; that's barely a track record on which to establish ones' self.. would we *want* an inexperienced president? now what *i've* been thinking is.. how come nobodys thought of him as being a solid running mate? maybe its a lack of comparable candidates.. but it makes sense in my mind anyway- he gets vp.. 4, even 8 years later.. *then* thinking about a bid for commander in chief.
seems sensible to me. whatever. otoh- this country could USE a drastic, sweeping change with the next presidency. whatever happens should finally be interesting.

I'd like a drastic change in our government too. Maybe we should amend the constitution and let the 'Governator' run with 'Barraka' as his VP. Now that would be DRASTIC.
