picked up a few of these @ home depot.. just the privacy door levers tho, not the keyed ones [all OOS]. plain design = commercial grade, none of that normal swoopy lever hardware. no go on ceiling fans tho; one there looked decent, but not really.. may end up w/ 2 of these [H, is this the one in ur fam room?] if i dont grab one from modern fan co.. any suggestions?

yay for extended holiday weekend sales [60%! w00t] *and* stackable coupons.
yeah.. not the first thing i would've thought of either when it comes to myself and the kitchen, but i've got grand designs for finally having an accessible kitchen ;)
[yes the img breaks the column; couldnt find a better pic]

360

this is another x360 ad that didn't make it onto tv 'cause of its 'controversial' nature. whatever. pretty funny stuff :)
eh, while im at it, here's the original full 1min jump rope ad, and here's the water balloon ad. if there are others [besides the 30sec cut of the jump rope one], let me know.

opinions

ok, since it seems to be working here [ahem], what does everyone think of this sofa color; bluish-grey/ greyish blue?

its got the right height/depth.. but this is the color it's *stocked* in.. i can order other colors, but it's a 12 week wait; and i'm an impatient man.

a day in lazytype

my day: 15min of 'check email/bank accounts and go' turn into phone calls and 1hr of fruitless research... then we're off; > braxton seafood grill [$ but worth it, posh] > crate and barrel [yay awesome couch/ damn forgot floorplan] -> pottery barn [sucked rich old housewives] > banana [nothing except same coat, but thinner.. and a kickass leather but $500] > marshall fields [dunno why but mom wanted to, sucked] > FUCK now its REALLY cold [gets into car/nose runs] > room and board [i want its babies.] {camera dies and backups are dead too, sucked} > olive garden [outreach txt to someone other than present company] > return, miss IMs after coming 'back', home sweet internet.
extrapolations to come.?

EDIT: apologies for being egregiously late in updating this post.. real life getting the way of bloggering again. but HOLY LORDY OF.. ALL THAT IS HOLY. THE FRANCHEESIE. it briefly passed my radar perusing Maxfield's too-deep-for-its-own-good menu awhile back.. not knowing what it was [and not feeling adventurous: breakfast for lunch that day], i filed the odd name in my memory to be revisited. and then i read this review from chicagofoodies:

If we ever start banning food for health reasons the Francheezie will be the first to go. It's a hot dog stuffed with cheeze and wrapped in bacon...

it being a Chicago-based food oddity, and me being hungry as hell and a glutton[!] for punishment, i *had* to try it at least once. first bite: OMGHOT- the other reviewer was right; i mean, who in their right mind would take as big a bite i did from a fresh-out-of-the-DEEP-FRYER hot dog.. oh did i forget to mention? jumbo dog, split and cheese stuffed, wrapped in bacon, and deep-fried. it gave the dog that crusty outside you get on just-too-done grilled dogs, but all. over.
i'm salivating again as i write this.
alas, it wasn't the perfect meal: there wasn't nearly as much cheese as i was expecting; a portion of the cheese fused half the bun to the dog, and the remainder was in 2 small pools at the beginning and end of the beast.. maybe a couple seconds less in the fryolator wouldve saved some. and the overall experience.. well like the review said: it gets completely overwhelming. at first i tried his suggestion and alternated each bite with heaps of fries.. but around halfway through, the sodium content of the the entire meal hit me like a brick wall: my water was half gone in an instant, and i was eating whole leaves of lettuce to help each bite along.. literally wrapping the last of it with lettuce to finish it off.
oh and there was coleslaw. yep.
so yeah: it was.. an experience. good food taken to the nth level. a meal perhaps to be repeated some day. far, far off in the future. maybe if i find myself at the Cabmridge House.
