its the bottom of the 13th now. this is why i dont like watching: i'm far too impatient for this marathon of a game. not enough action surrounded by so much of boring. 'but strategy and whatever blah blah' yeah yeah-> they just confirmed this is the longest world series game ever. if this goes another inning, i say saw the game in half and call it 2.5 to .5 for the series. or just take it to the trophy and call the whole damn thing.

[they do get a trophy, right? ..a cup? rings? championship belts?]


update: right as i was about to post, they went to the 14th. 14th! that's more than a normal game and a half! at least the advertisers are getting their money's worth.

ok people, soliciting opinions: is this over the top? i'm sure i'll end up with something slighty more traditonal, but still modern-ish. i was looking @ these for the longest time, but mostly out of fear of rising gas prices.. sure, they've got [questionable] practicality, but.. good looking they ain't.

obligatory sox post

it's way too late for this not to seem bandwagonish.. but i'll try and be handsoff-ish enough to counter it. ;) see, when it comes to chicago baseball and the friendly rivalry that comes with having two teams in one city, i've always been partial to the sox. no major reason at all; they *were* the first baseball game i went to.. i used to like their logo better than the plain 'big -c, little -ubs inside' logo when i was younger [and wore baseball caps, could care less now].. but aside from that, yeah. never followed baseball much, but with a World Series run impending.. hey, another reason to get completely shitfaced celebrate and have a good time :)

yep. i've been told i've been 'blog lazy', and who am i to argue.. sometimes real life just gets in the way. kicks, screams, claws, and gets its big ugly head in the way.
so uh.. yeah- on with the posting. saw this on slashdot: the first commercially available exosleketon. now i'm known for my rash purchases.. but this is a different beast.

pro: at ~$13,800, it's more than 1/3 less than the car i wanna get.
con: a full charge only lasts 2h40min.
con: while it does augment a wearer's strength, it's nothing approaching Dark Angel levels of leaps and bounds.
pro: it's called HAL, fer'cryinoutloud. that just exudes geekiness.
con: it looks like a walking iMac.
con: lack of arm-mounted chainguns. and jetpack.

ok, that's as far as i'm willing to take it. technology advances, yet the science is stalled, as is the norm. i guess i've got higher aspirations then being uncle robot.
